Morristown Police Department

The Morristown Police Department is currently accepting lateral transfers and applications for both full-time Deputy Marshal and full-time School Resource Officer for the Shelby Eastern Schools K-12 Morristown Campus. The applications will be accepted from February 1, 2025, to February 28, 2025, at 5 p.m. Lateral applicants must have ILEA certification, Tier I or Tier II, and have at least three years of experience. If hired, lateral officers will receive up to five years of accrued vacation time. Non-certified applicants will have the option of Tier I or Tier II.

Lateral transfers will complete a modified physical agility, new applicants will complete the current ILEA physical agility. All applicants will submit to a background check, driving record search, and interview process. Final phase applicants will have to complete a firearms proficiency test.

New Officers starting salary: $55,000

Lateral Officers minimum salary: $61,000
